Urbandale woman charged with possession, excessive speed in Monroe

Police department responds to 35 calls for service Nov. 12-25

Cotrena McInryre, 47, of Urbandale, was charged with possession of a controlled substance, excessive speed and unsafe passing after authorities responded to a report of a vehicle speeding at 4 p.m. Nov. 19 on Highway 163.

According to the Monroe Police Department, the vehicle was spotted traveling 93mph in a 65mph zone. McInryre was taken into custody and transported to the Jasper County Jail. She placed a $335 cash bond Nov. 20 and was released to appear in court.

Nov 12-25:

During this 14 day period the Monroe Police Department responded to 35 calls for service.

• Responded to a report of cattle on Highway 14. It was handled by an officer.

• Responded to a report of animals at large on neighbor’s property. It was handled by an officer.

• Conducted a family notification.

• Assisted Marion County on a motor vehicle accident.

• Responded to a report of a dangerous driver on Highway 14. The vehicle was located and stopped.

• Responded to an alarm at a business. The business cleared and was clear of incident.

• Responded to Prairie City for a report of a child crying outside at 1 a.m. The officer was unable to locate anyone.

• Responded to a report of a possible OWI. Driver was located and was not OWI.

• Assisted Prairie City on a motor vehicle accident.

• Responded to a report of a car/deer motor vehicle accident, no injuries.

• Conducted a warrant check. The officer unable to locate the subject.

• Responded to a report of a vehicle traveling at a high rate speed on Highway 163. The vehicle was located and stopped.

• Conducted extra patrol of a residence.

• Responded to a report of harassment. The case is under investigation.

• Responded to a third report of animals at large.

• Responded to a report of a dog attacking another dog, case report conducted.

• Responded to Prairie City for a domestic disturbance. The parties were separated.

• Responded to Prairie City for an alarm at a business. The business was cleared and free of incident.

• Conducted a vehicle unlock service.

• Responded to 16 miscellaneous calls for service.

• Continued to work on open investigations.

• Conducted checks on vacation houses.

• Conducted GTSB vehicle enforcement.
