Bulldozing Hotel Maytag sounds good

Jack Hatch is getting ready to set the hook on the taxpayers while providing Newton with a new potential expensive meth house at the former Hotel Maytag. Let’s spend $8 million in taxpayer money to bring more unwanted rodents into town. Good idea isn’t it? (not!)

Newton is already seeing an uptick of theft and crime since the departure of Maytag. I sure hope you rethink wasting (our) tax money on the Hotel Maytag for more low-income housing. I believe a bulldozer for the building is starting to sound like a much better idea. What once didn’t sound like an overly bad idea is sounding far worse as time moves on.
