• Dominic T. Vasquez, 38, address unknown, was charged with third-degree burglary from an incident that occurred at 2 p.m. June 24 in the 100 block of North Second Avenue East. According to the Newton Police Department, officers received a report of a burglary. The victim works for Hagen Installations and reported someone had stolen tools from inside the Hotel Maytag building he had left. The victim filled out a missing property form and the tools were valued at more than $700. An investigation was started and Vasquez developed as a suspect. Security camera footage showed a male subject inside the building picking up tools and putting them into a dark colored bag. The subject was identified as Vasquez and a warrant was requested for his arrest. Vasquez was picked up on a warrant for his charge at 6:18 p.m. July 12 in the 100 block of North Fourth Avenue East.
